RLCA Dual Enrollment

  • Students may take courses for credit that will be applied to their high school transcript and at the same time earning college credit at the school where the course was taken, or transferred to another college or university.
  • Junior or senior students wishing to take a course for dual enrollment must demonstrate a record of academic excellence by maintaining a 3.0 RLCA GPA or higher and gaining permission from the Guidance Office and teacher.
  • Red Lion offers dual enrollment courses through Wilmington University and Cairn University.
  • Dual enrollment courses are taught by university approved Red Lion teachers.
  • Students wishing to take a dual enrollment course will pay a much smaller tuition fee than they would if they were attending that school.
  • If taking a dual enrollment course, students will receive a Red Lion grade and AP level GPA value for the course.
  • Although dual enrollment courses can are taken through accredited universities, and therefore accepted by other schools, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that these credits will be applied correctly  by the school of his or her choice.
